INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES
SKCAC Employment Services offers planning, assessment and job placement with area employers. We work to design services to meet your work training and employment support needs.
QUALIFYING FOR EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
To qualify for SKCAC’s employment services you must meet SKCAC’s criteria for services. You may need a referral from the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) or the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Services are free to qualified individuals (fees are paid by DDA or DVR). If you have not applied to DDA or DVR for services please visit their websites or contact us for assistance.

EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENTS
Administration of vocational assessments to determine employment interest, work skills and work behavior information. Assessments are provided in a variety of employment settings.
PERSON-CENTERED PLANNING
Planning centered around the individual and their areas of interest. The process includes the individual, family, friends and others interested in the successful employment of the individual (as determined by the individual served). Graphic planning and facilitation may also be included in the planning process.
JOB / SKILL TRAINING
Training in assembly, collating, fabrication, packaging, light custodial and on-the-job training for community based jobs.
Direct Job Placement
Training on-site at our Kent production facility to learn to perform a variety of assembly, collating, fabrication and packaging tasks. Work assignments are based on individual skills, with the opportunity to receive training and work on a wide variety of assembly, collating, fabrication and packaging tasks.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
Job placement in community jobs using a team approach. Your SKCAC employment specialist guides the job seeking process and provides supports as necessary to help you to be successful in your new position. SKCAC’s placement personnel work with employers to develop jobs with natural work supports.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Time-limited work experience opportunities at SKCAC are available to assist an individual to gain work skills for employment in the community.
